What we do with what you tell us
Draft prepared for launch. Replace the bracketed items and have it reviewed against Swiss (FADP) and, for EU visitors, GDPR requirements before publishing.
Who we are
CruiseLens is operated by [Expeditioner Travel legal entity], [registered address], Switzerland ("we"). Contact: [privacy contact email].
Your questionnaire answers
Your answers are sent to our own server (hosted on Cloudflare) to be scored against the ship database, and the result is returned to your browser. Your answers are not stored on the server unless you ask for the full reading. Your browser keeps them in this tab only, so you can go back or refresh, and they are cleared when the tab closes or you start again.
If you ask for the full reading
When you enter your name and email address and press Send, we store your contact details together with your answers and your results so that we can prepare your reading. This is kept on Cloudflare (our infrastructure) for up to 90 days, and in a Google Sheet and email received by Expeditioner Travel, where it is kept as part of our client records for as long as we have a business relationship with you or you ask us to delete it. The legal basis is the steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in following up an enquiry you have made.
If you leave without asking
We record only that a session started, how many questions were answered and where it stopped — no answers, no contact details, no identifier that can be tied back to you. We use this to see where people give up.
Security check
Starting the questionnaire and sending the form each run Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a request comes from a real browser. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. and may process technical data such as your IP address for that purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Fonts
[Either: This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers. — or, preferably before launch: typefaces are served from our own domain and no request is made to Google.]
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Cloudflare may set a functional cookie as part of the security check.
Who else sees your data
Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security check, anonymous usage statistics); Google LLC (the spreadsheet and email in which leads are received). Both act as processors on our instructions. We do not sell or share your details with cruise lines or anyone else for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to our use of it, by writing to [privacy contact email]. If you are in the EU or EEA you may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Switzerland, to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
