What we do with what you tell us
CruiseLens is operated by Expeditioner Travel, which Marc Vitria runs as a sole trader and an independent contractor of Fora Travel, Inc., 228 Park Ave South, Suite 53272, New York, NY 10003-1502. We are the controller for the personal data described here. This notice explains what we collect when you use CruiseLens, and why. Last updated: October 2026.
What we collect, and when
Your answers. Your answers to the questionnaire are used to produce your reading. If you never ask for your full reading, they are not stored and are not linked to you as a person. Your browser keeps them in this tab only, so your progress survives a refresh; they are cleared when the tab closes.
Your name and email address, if you ask for your full reading, together with anything you write in the box about when you’re thinking of travelling. These are used to prepare your reading and to reply to you. We won’t add you to a mailing list without asking first.
Anonymous usage events. We count page visits and steps of the journey (started, completed, reading requested), and which website or link brought you here, as daily totals without identifying you, to understand where CruiseLens works and where it doesn’t.
How your answers are processed
Your answers are scored against our ship database on our own server, and the result is sent back to your browser. No AI service is involved — the reading comes entirely from our own scoring model. Please don’t put sensitive personal details in the free-text box; the reading never needs them.
Where your details live
If you ask for your reading, it is held on Cloudflare, which serves this site, for up to 90 days, and in a private spreadsheet and email received by Expeditioner Travel on Google Workspace. Bot protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Some of these providers are in the United States; where your details leave your country, we rely on standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell your details or disclose them to cruise lines or marketers; the providers named here process them only to run CruiseLens and answer your enquiry. No cruise line can pay to influence a reading.
How long, and your rights
We keep your details for as long as we’re actively helping you, delete enquiries that don’t lead to a booking after 24 months, and delete anything sooner on request. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: travel@expeditionertravel.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
